Dear Michigan Citizens:

There is an issue that all Citizensin Michigan need to be aware of. It is House Concurrent Resolution 0004 (2009), This Resolution states in part:

"Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That we hereby affirm Michigan's sovereignty under the tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States. We also urge the federal government to halt its practice of imposing mandates upon the states for purposes not enumerated by the Constitution of the United States; and be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the President of the United States, the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, and the members of the Michigan congressional delegation."

After moving through both the House and the Senate in Lansing, this resolution is now stuck in the House Committee on Governmental Operations where it is expected to remain with no further action expected.

Given the antigun position espoused by the Obama administration and the active attempts by the United Nations to disarm Americans, anyone owning a gun in the State of Michigan needs to contact their Representative and encourage them to run this "States Sovereignty" Resolution - move it out of committee and transmit it to the appropriate offices in Washington, DC. We need to unite to preserve our right to keep and bear arms as provided by the 2nd amendment of the US Constitution and Articles 1 and 6 of the Michigan Constitution (that were enacted in 1963).

Allen my friend, other than the fact that it won't do a darned thing there's only one problem with that resolution - it has you focusing on things other than those suggested in "Attitude Adjustment" and the other two articles in our Tea Party activist "trilogy." For example, you might follow the links in the votes listed the "Candidate Questionnaire for Tea Party Activists" item - http://www.mackinac.org/10510 (follow the "Vote Details and Comments" links) - and see what you think about the votes of some legislators wanting you to talk about HCR 4 and SCR 4 in the Senate. I suspect you won't think much of them, and may question what a few of them are really trying to accomplish with this resolution.
